A Journey of Creation
I began my professional career as an artist in 2018 and have since completed notable commissions for organizations including the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico and the City of Española.
In 2025, I was honored to receive the First Peoples Fund Artists in Business Leadership Grant, a recognition that has supported the growth of my practice.
One of my lifelong goals was to exhibit at the SWAIA Indian Market in Santa Fe, NM. I submitted my first application in 2024 and was accepted. Since then, my work has been recognized with two Best in Division awards, two First Place ribbons, and an Honorable Mention.
Channeling Luchita: A Community Response to the Life and Work of Luchita Hurtado.
In 2024, I received the opportunity to participate in an exhibition to commemorate the life and work of Luchita Hurtado. Fellow NMSA Alumni and curator Claire Motsinger facilitated my involvement with the exhibition.
This project was conceived as a collaboration between the Taos Abstract Artists Collective (TAAC) and the Millicent Rogers Museum (MRM).
Artist Statement
I create contemporary illustrations that explore themes of identity, femininity, and environment. I combine vivid digital illustrations with Pueblo patterns to represent both the modern and traditional influences that shaped my identity. My goal is to create a body of work that expands the public’s perception of Indigenous art beyond traditional crafts.
